Bottom Line: One of the best preschool number apps. A must-buy.

TallyTots starts with a screen with the first 20 numbers. When each is pressed, the app counts up to that number and there is a mini-game for the child to play in conjuntion with each number. Each number has to be pressed for a few seconds (as a little timer goes off), which I really liked as it prevents accidentally pressing a letter and exiting the current game. A simple and terrific interface for preschoolers.

When the number 13 is activated, for example, 13 eggs appear and the eggs have to be cracked by touching each several times. Each egg contains a chick that cheeps! The mini-games are all well-done, although each item being counted when pressed (for instance, when each egg is hatched) and something to celebrate the completion of each would be nice additions.

Other mini-games include a slot-car race track, putting batteries into a portable TV and playing a bottle xylophone. Great stuff.

TallyTots is a must-download if you have a preschooler.
