The best way to keep a preschooler interested is what I often refer to as "energy." By that I mean, music, sounds and movement. (Elmo didn't become Elmo by being colored gray, sitting still and being quiet.)
The app is a simple dress-up game for toddlers. The child can match the parts of an outfit for one profession (firefighter) or be creative and make someone such as a farmer-dancer-pirate with simple drag-and-drop functionality. When each professional is finished, the monkey does the best dancing of any kids educational app. Now that’s energy!
There are four monkeys to choose from (two male, two female) and after each selection, the child receives a background and two toys. A fireman's jacket, for example, yields a fire truck out of the toy box. There is also a sticker board after each set of equipment/clothes is complete.
Both Monkey Preschool apps should be downloaded if you have a preschooler.
