What's There: Cinderella is an iPhone/iPad adaptation of the famous story, in which a young woman gets to give her mean sisters and stepmother the finger by winning the heart of a prince and living happily ever after. (Please note: She doesn't actually give anyone the finger.)
The narration, by a young girl instead of an adult, adds a nice feel to the story, and the illustrations all look like classical paintings.
Bottom Line: Some book apps try to take the story and run with it, technology-wise, with animations, music, puzzles, etc. Some, like Cinderella, are simple adaptations with a voiceover.
The latter will save you some money and save the world some trees, so if you'd like to share the story with your children, this app would make a nice alternative. Cinderella is $1.99 on the iPhone and $2.99 on the iPad.
