Bottom Line: A simple and inexpensive app for young toddlers. Also, I'm apparently a sucker for really cute animals made of clay.
For example, on the screen for six the narration says "Six snowflakes come down. Can you move the penguin around?" and the penguin can be touch-dragged left and right, moving the snowflakes as he goes.
Each number can be selected from a home screen or reached by pressing left and right arrows.
The upside: The narration is very good and the interface is easy. The clay animals give it a funny, unique feel and light piano music plays in the background. There is a page showing parents and children how to make a clay octopus (a claytopus!)The apps costs just $1.99 on the iPad and 99 cents on the iPhone.
The downside: The limited interactivity makes it an app just for babies and early toddlers. Once a child gets a hang of using the device, they can move on to an app like TallyTots, which has more numbers and interactivity.
