Today's Free App of the Day, one of our Top Picks, has been made free for either today only or for the ever-ambiguous "limited time!" depending on who you ask.
Either way, it's a terrific app that my kids loved that let's them role-play as a hairdresser in a virtual setting rather than on their own hair!
(We've all been there, right?)

From our review:
...such is the case with Toca Hair Salon ($1.99) where children role-play as the corner hairdresser. My kids seriously love this app, especially E and Lily. Ryan has even also had a go at it a few times, so I think kids of a fairly large age range will enjoy it.
Children select one of six customers, who are people and animals, and can comb, cut, apply growing crème, blow dry, shave and color their hair. My kids do awful, terrible things to their customers’ hair and then burst into laughter. The player can also snap pictures of their handiwork. (See an example of why you don't want Lily cutting your hair in the bottom image.)
The interface is simple and easy: there are nine selections (comb, scissors, etc.) along a bottom row and the child simply clicks on which one they want to use and then on where they want to use it.
* Rather than just post a list with links we're going to find one free app each day, make sure it's worth downloading, and post the info.
Here are the rules:
1) The app has to have some substance as free. In other words, it can't be a few seconds of play and then require an in-app purchase.
2) My kids or I have to like it.
3) It can't have ads all over it.
