For those who helped me test, I sincerely apologize for my complete lack of artistic talent.
Draw Something is the current No. 1 free app and a paid version that has a few more options is the current No. 1 paid app among all apps (not just one category.) The free app has some in-app purchases but they are really just extras that aren't necessary to play and can actually be attained for free with enough play.
IMPORTANT: Although the game can be set up with friends that you know that have the app, there is an option to play against people you don't know, so children must be supervised at all times when using it. That can amount to a great deal of family fun however! You can also just take the device away from the kids and try it for yourself.
The app is a combo of Pictionary and Words with Friends. You get to draw something and the other player tries to guess what it is and vice versa. The games pause automatically if you're not using the app, so you can go back at any time and continue a game. Awesome, awesome stuff and insanely popular.
