Today's Good Free App of the Day has zoomed its way to No. 1 among free education apps less than one week after being released. It's for older kids, focusing on learning about the periodic table and elements, but looks fantastic.
I'm often asked "What about apps for older kids?" Well, here's one and it's free with no in-apps or ads!
** Please note ** Only the app's developer can control when an app is free or not. All apps that we post as Good Free Apps of the Day are verified to be free at the time of this post. We make no guarantees otherwise.

Did you every wonder why the periodic table is shaped the way it is, what gives each element its own unique set of properties, or even how elements combine to make everyday objects such as a cup of coffee? With “NOVA Elements,” explore an interactive periodic table, play a game hosted by David Pogue, or watch the two-hour NOVA program, “Hunting the Elements.”
