Full disclosure: I have a thing for sock puppets.
At a kids event, I can walk right past regular puppets like "whatever, I don't care," but if I see sock puppets, I'm grabbing my kids and watching from beginning to end and laughing at everything they do. They don't even have to be well-designed sock puppets. Even if it's just a pair of eyes glued to a sock, I'm there.
Thus explains my very positive reaction to Sock Puppets, today's Good Free App of the Day.
The app is similar to Toontastic and does include in-app purchases for additional puppets and scenery, but kids can do quite a bit with the freebies included without having to spend any money.
