Lisa, who I now refer to as "Codette" because of her genuine excitement over learning even a bit of HTML, sent me today's Good Free App of the Day: "We had a giveaway for this one. I like it, so does Tot."
A lot of people apparently agree with Codette and Tot because the app has zoomed all the way up to No. 7 after being made free for a limited time. In Miny Moe Car, kids have their own car to drive and maintain with none of the risks of giving a small child a real car!
** Only the app's developer can control when an app is free or not. All apps that we post as Good Free Apps of the Day are verified to be free at the time of this post. We make no guarantees otherwise. **
From iTunes:
Put your kids behind the wheel of their very own car.
Miny Moe car-driver simulator lets them drive just like you do. They can steer, accelerate and brake, and use real dashboard functions like tuning the radio and using the windshield wipers. All with amusing yet realistic sounds.
They also get to wash the car and perform simple maintenance tasks. There’s even a racetrack they can catapult around!
Some of the features
· Steer, accelerate and brake the car
· Sound the horn – Toot Toot!
· Change gear to go forward or back
· Use direction indicators and windshield wipers
· Tune the radio and listen to music
· Mend a puncture and a broken window
· Change a broken light bulb
· Wash the car till it’s squeaky-clean – watch out for that pesky bird!
· Fill it up with gas
· Take the racetrack challenge
Miny Moe Car will keep 2 to 8 year-olds amused at home or in the car – its lively graphics and child-friendly interface make it the ideal traveling companion for journeys long or short. Parents will also appreciate its simple charm – if only real punctures were this easy to mend!
Like all our apps for children, there’s no stress or high scores to beat, no in-app purchases and no third-party advertising.
Just fun and games all the way. Fasten your seat belt and start the engine!

Every day we pick what we affectionately call the Good Free App of the Day, an app that we have downloaded, tested and certified: It can't have a ton of ads or just a little content with a ton of in-app purchases.
It also has to be good.
We then present them to you to read, download, and share and, based on which ones got the most hits, here are your Top 100 Favorite Free Apps!
We've done our best to only include apps that are permanently free, but sometimes developers do change their minds so please leave a comment if you find an app that's no longer free.
Enjoy!
