Green ABCs is an odd little app. I can't find any explanation as to why the app originally cost $30, because, although it certainly serves a nice niche', it's nowhere near that good of an app. It appears the developer is a non-profit working on environmental education for children and that the $30 was a donation to the organization, sort of like when public television sends you a shirt when you call and pledge money.
I couldn't find any info as to why it is free now or how long it will be free, so it could change at any time.
Green ABCs is a great way to explore the world of "going green" with kids. It takes each letter of the alphabet and provides info on a word starting with that letter. For example, A is for "alternative energy." It provides A LOT of good info (for adults as well.) F for Farmer's Market!
I like the app as a nice starting point for discussions about environmentalism, but it's not for younger kids as the ABCs in the title might suggest. Only kids that can read at a fairly advanced level will be able to get through and understand all the text and, even with an adult's help, some of the concepts are going to be too complex for preschoolers.
I've included a video of the company's other products so you can get a good idea of what the app is about.
If you would like to download Green ABCs (FREE, iPad) please support Smart Apps for Kids by using this link button:

Every day we pick what we affectionately call the Good Free App of the Day, an app that we have downloaded, tested and certified: It can't have a ton of ads or just a little content with a ton of in-app purchases.
It also has to be good.
We then present them to you to read, download, and share and, based on which ones got the most hits, here are your Top 100 Favorite Free Apps!
We've done our best to only include apps that are permanently free, but sometimes developers do change their minds so please leave a comment if you find an app that's no longer free.
Enjoy!

I do agree with all of the ideas you've offered on your post. They are really convincing and can definitely work. Still, the posts are very brief for novices. May you please lengthen them a bit from next time? Thank you for the post. michael kors outlet http://www.smetraders.com/michael-kors-outlet.html

I was just looking for this information for a while. After 6 hours of continuous Googleing, at last I got it in your website. I wonder what's the lack of Google strategy that do not rank this type of informative sites in top of the list. Usually the top web sites are full of garbage. michael kors outlet http://www.smetraders.com/michael-kors-outlet.html

An interesting discussion is worth comment. I believe that you simply should certainly write much more on this subject, it may possibly not be a taboo topic but normally consumers aren't sufficient to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers
