Some of you may be familiar with Free App Friday at momswithapps.com, a group of family-friendly developers who offer a group of apps for free or a reduced price every Friday.
This is our first time participating in the event! We've taken a look at the free apps available and have listed our general impressions and download links.
Most of these apps are free ONLY UNTIL 10 p.m. CDT U.S. so don't delay!
** Please note** Not all of the apps listed here are the level of quality we would expect for one of our Good Free Apps of the Day and we have not reviewed them or tested them extensively.
Boat Game: Definitely an app that could be a Good Free App of the Day. Children or adults have to plan boat routes for targets while ensuring they don't crash into each other. (iPad/iPhone)
Baby Plants Flowers: Very rough around the edges, but enough there to take a look if it sounds like something your children would enjoy. Kids plant, water and fertilize flowers as well as spraying pests. (iPad/iPhone)
Flash Card Bebee: Basic flash card app with cute animal pictures. Annoying that some animals have interactions and some don't. (iPad/iPhone)
The Grumble Noise: Cute ebook that I considered for GFAOTD, but I don't like the kids waking up at midnight to eat a lot of ice cream. My kids would totally do that. (iPad only)
Alphabet Dots: I was really hoping this was a connect-the-dots app, but it's not. Not much to it, but kids can find the letters in alphabetical order. (iPad/iPhone)
Early Start Sight Words: No sound. Basic app for a parent/teacher to practice sight words with kids. Would serve as a replacement for flash cards, but not much more. (iPad/iPhone)

Thank you for taking a glance at these apps. I always participate in Free App Friday. I trust and value Smart Apps opinions. Your service helps me to know more about the apps. Thank you!

I L.O.V.E. that you are now participating in free app friday. I REALLY appreciate these quick reviews you just provided. I don't want to take up any more space on my iPad, unless it is for a quality app (like today's Toca Store). Thank you, thank you for all you do!

Yep. I don't always love what I find on Free App Friday, and find your recommendations and GFAsOD much more reliable. So having (even short/quick) reviews of the apps available there is most helpful. Thank you!

Thank you for reviewing our Early Start Sight Words application. You hit the nail on the head with your review. That is exactly what it is designed for. Keep up the good work.
