Do you love tigers? The theme of sibling rivalry is explored through the eyes of a young tiger dealing with jealousy, hero-worshipping, love, and anger in this funny, engaging, interactive children’s story.

Author and illustrator Dorothy Thurgood Manning of 22 Loretta Kids' Books has perfectly captured the confident sure-footed older sibling as seen through the eyes of the just-making-her-own-way younger sibling. Although little Delilah and Sophie are tigers, they walk on two feet and engage in many of the same pursuits as human children. Delilah is a bit envious that Sophie gets to ride the school bus alone while she's still in a car seat, and she still needs training wheels while her sister rides a two-wheeler.
This story has smooth, profesional Read to Me narration, a Read Myself option which is possible for early readers since the language is simple and age appropriate and it's available in English and Spanish. Mama Tiger sounds especially fierce in Espagnol. The story is interactive without being overwhelming and would make a nice bedtime selection.
