With all Star Wars movies having made over 5 Billion dollars, I'm baffled as to why currencies world-wide haven't kept with the times and been updated to look something similar to this:
New Zealand seems to be ahead of the rest of the world, releasing legal tender Lord of The Rings coins on November 1st 2012 featuring characters such as Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf the Wizard ..
Star Wars is that much of a religion to some people that in the 2006 Australian Census approximately 70,000 people marked their religion as "Other - Jedi". Despite rumours that if at least 10,000 people supply the same 'Other' religion on the form it will then become a legitimate religion, the Australian Government failed to see the humor and did not recognise such answers.
Angry Birds is also traveling very well in the money and popularity department. Considering it was first released in December 2009 it has grossed well over $80 million and is available for only $0.99 - $2.99 (plus IAP's) as opposed to the much higher cost of a Star Wars movie ticket, VCR tape, BluRay or DVD.
They both also have a plethora of merchandise items available. Angry Birds Star Wars will be no different - I will be nagged incessantly at the stores to buy this or that. Simply because ""It's ANGRY BIRDS STAR WARS MUM - C'MON Don't be so tight. Jimmy has it!!"
Q: How could they possibly go wrong melding the two together? Answer: they can't! My unqualified husband predicts that just by teaming with Star Wars, Rovio with double their overall profit for Angry Birds in no time.
On November 8th 2012 the Angry Birds and Star Wars universes collide in what Rovio describe as their best game to date.
MAY THE BIRDS BE WITH YOU
