I tell developers all the time that Oceanhouse Media's Dr. Seuss apps are the benchmark I look at when reviewing book apps. A couple of recent developments continue to make my point for me. In celebration of this we have three Dr. Seuss apps that you can win - more on that below.
First, there is a FREE new app, Dr. Seuss Bookshelf, which you should download and put on your device dock immediately if you or your child is Seuss fan. Here's the link:
The app is a hub for all things Seuss. On the 'My Apps' shelf you can see all the Seuss apps you have installed on your device and if there are ones that your kiddo favours in particular, you can drag them down to the 'Favorites' shelf.
The app is also a much user-friendlier option to search for other Seuss apps than the App Store.
You can search for apps by type - Dr. Seuss classics, The Cat in the Hat's Learning Library, Games and the Camera apps that let you create fun things like Grinch Christmas cards.
You can also search for apps by price and target age range.
If you allow push notifications OM also plans to use this app to tell you about new apps and specials.
For those of you that are lucky enough to have Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat or Dr. Seuss' ABC then make sure you have the apps updated on your device.
There's a pop-up menu at the bottom of the pages which you can use to access the page guide, return to the home page or use the cool new 'record and share' feature.
Tap on the 'Voice' button to record versions of the app read by yourself, your child, Grandma... and share them with others via email.
In addition there is an Options setting you can access to select or de-select features like sound effects which teachers and therapists might not want on in certain settings.
The boys and I are enjoying these new features immensely.
Deanne Shoyer is the mother to twin boys on the autism spectrum, blogs at smallbutkindamighty.com, has two history degrees and looks a lot less hip than her avatar.
For those of you not lucky enough to have a copy of these three apps with the new features, I will now hand you over to our giveaway girlie, the lovely Lisa Ruddy, as she has a giveaway for all three apps for you to enter!

Hi all, three of you could win a Dr.Seuss App each! All you have to do is complete as much of the Rafflecopter as you wish and easy peasy you could win. Good luck everyone!
Lisa does not actually like eating green eggs and ham but is a giddy fan of bacon.

My son would love this

This bookshelf is a fantastic idea to organise dr Seuss books all together. My children would love to fill it with some snooks

My 3 kids love Dr Seuss. Even found a 1970 book in grandparents bookshelf. The kids drag it out instead of the new books. To have it on the iPad would be awesome.
