Bottom line: a precious letter learning and loving app that will wiggle, stomp,
and swim its way onto your iDevice. Three areas of learning will get the youngest learners (1-4 years, give or take)
interacting and getting creative with letters all at the same time. Usually $3.99, the app has been reduced to 99 cents for a limited time.
The terrific Sesame Street app Another Monster at the End of This Book ($3.99) has just gone free!
It now has a sponsor video when the app loads, but it's just like one of the sponsor videos that plays before the beginning of the actual show, so kid-friendly. There is a $3.99 in-app to get rid of the sponosor but my kids will have to live with the 10-second delay.
Bottom Line: Cute and simple alphabet book perfect for young
preschoolers. The interactive elements are fun and will entertain while they
teach. Plus, who can resist a jiggling jelly?
Bottom Line: A storybook app containing some great interactive features, good practice for learning to follow directions, and s-blends that can’t be beat for
speech therapy, but too many weak areas to recommend.
Bottom Line: a very ambitious book app that introduces an entire world of alien characters that crash land on earth and make some interesting discoveries about our planet. Best for independent readers 9+.
Bottom line: an amusing drawing/coloring program with
easy to use features for preschoolers. Broad appeal due to the presence of that cheeky monkey
and the Man with the Yellow Hat. Gets high marks for lack of ads, in-app purchases and social media links.
