Rudolph's third cousin, Henry, is ready to pull Santa's sleigh this Christmas, but can he stay calm this year? Henry gets so nervous at Christmas that he forgets how to fly. Yoga might help him relax. I think he should definitely try it.
Watch Santa turn green, and watch Henry attempt to pull the sleigh again in A very Yogi Christmas. I hope Henry and Santa don't lose my presents!
Is your Hanukkah terribly quiet this year? All serene and calm? Well, quick, download Happy Hanukkah and everybody will be singing!
The fabulous reggae singer Matisyahu and developer Mibblio have teamed up to turn Happy Hanukkah into a Mibblet.
And what is a Mibblet, I hear you ask? Well, read on to find out, but I will tell you that you'll be groovin' and jammin' until the wee hours!
Be sure to check out the great Featured Free and Discounted list for the day, too!
Today's post title really should read "Good Free Apps of the Day," because we have not one, two, three or four, but FIVE completely FREE ebooks from Magic Ink Books today!
Each of these free stories are both iPhone and iPad compatible, come with 2 settings — "read to me" or "read myself"— and black and white pages. Say what?! That's right, your kiddo swipes the screen of your iDevice in order to "color" the illustrations in the book. That's the magic in Magic Ink!
We love the StoryToys books here at our house, they're a class unto themselves. So when we got a chance to try out the BRAND NEW one, there was much exciting and jumping around the room (from the four-year old. I was much more decorous).
Released brand spanking new today, Strangebeard — The Pirate Princess is a fantastic 3D pop-up interactive book, chock full of mini-games that complement the story, and best of all, features a strong female role model as the lead character! If you're a little tired of insipid Disney Princesses (I know I certainly am), then Strangebeard will bring a welcome change to your iDevice. This app will appeal to both the little princesses AND the weeny pirates at your place!
If you're already familiar with StoryToy books you'll be even more impressed with this one — it utilizes a fresh, new look building on StoryToys’ trademark 3D pop-up feature with new effects and brand new game mechanics, never before seen in StoryToys products. I can tell you now, it's a book filled with energy and surprises!
Bottom Line: Two Left Feet is touted as a “modern day pop-up book” based on Adam Stower’s book by the same name, but that really doesn’t do justice to the experience. You don’t need to have the book to enjoy the effects, either. Monsters that are charming rather than scary make the app suitable for any age.
