A free math app for teachers and schools? How terrific! I love math apps, and one with over 1000 activities, designed by math experts, is a great find. The parent version is free to download with a subscription for full access.
Teachers definitely need to add this app to their resources for math. Free access for both web and app versions provide engaging activities, worksheets and lesson plans. Matific is aligned with national and state curricula and mapped to many popular textbooks. What a win!

Bottom line: A brand new app that allows kids to practice math skills in a unique way through the use of matrices. It's a great way to practice visual perceptual skills also. Geared toward children in preschool through second grade, this app may require some initial instruction from an adult before appropriate independent play occurs, but once users get it, the learning that results from using this app could be significant.
Bottom Line: Beyond Cats! Grade 2 Math Standards — Practice Common Core Math for 2nd Graders is a math app that offers your child a fun way to practice the math skills required for 2nd grade. Multiple accounts can be set up to track all of the kids in your family or classroom. All of the skills are designed to adhere to Common Core standards.
Bottom Line: An introductory look at fractions for elementary-aged learners. Bright colors and repetition of basic concepts make this app a fruity festival of early fraction learning. Customized controls and the ability to unlock (or lock) all levels make this app a worthy contender in the app store, but to get a higher star rating, it would need a lower price or a higher level of content.
