For the longest time, every time I let my son use my iPad on
his own I always felt the need to give him the dire warning, “DO NOT BUY
ANYTHING!!” And still there was always that
little worry that I’d end up with $20 worth of charges to my iTunes account because
he just wanted more lives in Candy Crush or some such thing.
Bottom Line: Breathtakingly original with a universal appeal. The music and artwork tell the story better than words ever could.
Smartie award winner and critically acclaimed.
Another app from the folks at Peapod Labs that they have made free for a "limited time" in order to celebrate the launch of their latest app. Eight mini games that seek to teach kids in the 4 to 7 year-old range about what firefighters do, as well as some fire safety tips.
Bottom line: Simple, easy to use app that seeks to teach young children important lessons about safety, but needs a little more work in order to really be effective.
Bottom Line: Routinely is a niche app at a good price. Recommended for putting together task analyses for children but need to see a couple of upgrades before rating it a Top Pick.
