Bottom Line: a powerful, fully customizable tool for writing support that makes technology previously only available to schools accessible to individual families, teachers and therapists.

Bottom Line: A fun little alphabet learning app for kids ages 3-6. Features lots of opportunities to practice recognizing and writing letters. Doesn’t break any new ground, but does feature a yeti. Free lite version available.

Bottom line: An early learning app whose strong visual appeal cannot quite make up for the ho-hum introduction of spelling, reading and handwriting concepts. Initial pack of 12 words is Free.

We're no strangers to the TeachMe series of apps from 24x7 Digital. All of their previous apps have featured on our Top Lists. And the apps have garnered the highest 5 star rating from us when reviewed. So I'm not surprised in the least that their newest app, TeachMe 3rd Grade is of the same stellar quality.
TeachMe 3rd grade uses TeachTech character recognition to interpret the child's written answers, helping to reinforce writing skills while teaching math and spelling.
With six age appropriate subjects and a unique reward system, this app is top of the class.

Bottom line: This new app for introducing the alphabet is a solid alternative for children who find it easier to learn spelling with fewer distractions or for developmentally delayed older kids for whom 'childish' looking apps have no appeal.
