Bottom Line: An app designed to help kids spell as it entertains them. From early letter recognition to more difficult phonic blending, this app covers many learning levels of spelling. It has enough fun to keep kids from getting bored, and enough education to keep it from being strictly a game. Plus there’s a really cute alien to boot.
Bottom Line: Monster ABC has a lot of good content and unique gameplay for children learning first letter sounds. Kids spin wheels and match letters to pictures while earning monsters. The games, however, can get a bit monotonous to users with short attention spans and may require adults hovering to keep kiddos on task.
Bottom Line: TeachMe: Third Grade, the final app in 24x7digital's TeachMe series, continues with the same format as TeachMe: Second Grade, broadening a bit into grade-appropriate skills. While it is still a consistently solid app with tons of content, I would have liked to see the presentation and functionality of it grow along with the user as much as the skills did.
