Bottom Line: MiniSchool offers a collection of six educational activities with varying levels of difficulty to help teach and reinforce several academic skills. Whimsical ocean-themed scenes and characters keep children entertained while working for a ribbon of success. Though many of the activities benefit younger children, the varying difficulty levels allow this app to grow with the child through multiple years.

Bottom line: A fabulous math app for your special needs or young elementary-aged child. Since we first reviewed ToDo K-2 Math Practice, it has evolved to an app with a new name and even more math. The new ToDo Math is built on the same basic premise with math activities that can be completed in two different ways. Replacing the original timed math practice, there are now Missions for users to complete. Or, children can engage in free choice which allows them to select math activities as they wish.
Bottom Line: This app takes addition and subtraction practice far beyond just flashcards. The games are fun and great for problem-solving in math for first and second graders (suggested ages: 7-9 years old). The multiplayer games are a real strength, challenging and fun for even my husband and me (yes, we play math games for fun). FREE to try, in-app purchase of $2.99 for full access.
A major new update to Todo Math is now available for free (with IAP) in the App Store. The update includes 10 new games and a one-of-a-kind mission mode play feature that offers guided curriculum-based activities for more engaged learning. The timing of this release is aimed at combating summer learning loss for graduating preschoolers and kindergarten students.
Bottom Line: The sixth offering from 24X7 digital builds on the same structure as previous TeachMe apps. The TeachMe mouse leads children through math practice and quizzes so they can earn coins to use in Teach Town. Nothing wrong with the app, but not up to the high standards we've come to expect from the TeachMe apps.
